It is sent!

Papa Bear sent off our first package to the Adoption Agency this afternoon!

It contained things like this family photo, photos of the children's bedrooms our Home Study, Police reports, and lots of other documents. Now we just have things that need to come from New Zealand to gather together.

But we can see God fully in control of all that is happening.

Two days ago Papa Bear found a van for sale that could replace mine. My van sadly is rusting out with all the salt they use on the roads here to melt the winter ice. When he told me about the new van I felt we needed to wait a couple of days before going and looking at it.

Well last night as we finished off filling out adoption forms we needed to write down how many children we desired and how many we would accept. So we prayed about it and went to bed.

This morning both Papa Bear and I awoke with the number 7. Now that does not mean we will be bringing home a sibling group of seven, just that we needed to write down 7. Honestly, how many women do you know who have seven children, 10 years old and under? Half of them would need to be twins!

We now have 3-5 in the children desired space, and 3-7 in acceptable.

Anyway,  that brings me back to the van. It only seats seven in total.

Something tells me we are going to need a bigger vehicle!

What scares me more is that Papa Bear is leaving the size of our family totally up to God. Papa Bear is a control freak! You need to understand it has taken Papa Bear over six years to get comfortable with the idea of adopting a sibling group of 3. Even yesterday he wanted to know why we had put 3 OR MORE in our Homestudy.

Slowly over the years I have seen God pry Papa Bears fingers off the main controls of his life.

It is wonderful to witness but can be very frightening at times.

This life we have given to God is turning out to be one great adventure!
