Only 16... no... 15... oh dear... 14 days

We only have 14 days until we fly out!

And then a few short days after we will meet our wonderful children for the first time.

Kiwi Boy has the privilege of coming with us. Hopefully the boys will start to bond, making for an easier transition once we all get home.

Both Jelly Beans and Wiggles are excited to have the house to themselves. Well not quite to themselves, they have to share it with the dogs... and cats... and fish... and chickens...

Agghhh! So much to do...

Tuesday 22 April 2014

guess what? Guess What?! GUESS WHAT?!?!?!

Have you guessed it?
Yep!
We got the

COURT DATE!!!

 16th of May, 2014

This is the exact date that Jelly Beans had a dream of a couple of months ago. She said that in her dream she saw the kids and Mumzy and Papa Bear all together but didn't know where.

It is most certainly of God that she dreamed of this date (not knowing what it meant) and it "just happens" to be the exact date of court!

Mumzy and Papa Bear will meet the kids about a week before the court so they will probably fly out around the 9th of May. It is unknown as of yet if Jelly Beans or Wiggles or Kiwi Boy will accompany them.

So to recap it is:

3 1/2  weeks
 or
24 1/2 days
 or
588 hours
 or
35,280 minutes
 or
2,116,800 seconds

till court!!!
(or there about)

Lots of love,
Our very ecstatic family :)

A Homeless Wander?

He might as well have been born in a train station restroom.

Yet by 12 he was a rising child prodigy.

After finishing school he remained at home and worked
in his step-fathers carpentry factory.
He showed no real hope for the child star
he should have been.

By 30 he had become a homeless wandering looser.
Someone to avoid,
someone to look down upon,
someone to pity.
The lowest of the low.

Even though he was without a steady job
he had hope in his eyes.
Compassion in his words.
Love in his actions.

Many of the homeless, the drug addicted, the prostitutes,
the drunkards, the terminally ill, found his words of hope
too good to turn away from.
Eventually even politicians and the wealthy
had to check out his story.

Some believed his claims.
Some turned away saying he was crazy in the head.
Others began to hate him.
Hate for his accusations, hate him for his wild stories.
They began to hate even the sight of him.

They reported him to the authorities
and had him arrested as a terrorist.
A threat to national security.

He was interrogated, beaten,
and finally killed on the torture rack.

Yet they could not hold back what he did next!

Even though they tried to cover it up
with false reports, the spread of conspiracy stories,
and complete lies.

Just a few days later he was seen walking and talking,
breathing and laughing.
Once again telling his wild stories of love,
hope, and forgiveness.

Yes, he had returned from the grave!
He was completely dead, a corpse,
but now he was visiting with his friends.
Not as a ghost or a spirit, but as a man.
Someone you could touch, hug, laugh and eat with.

Always he would speak of life, new life.
A life without the chains of addictions and worries and stress.
A life that gave eternal freedom!

"I am the way, the truth and the life.
No-one comes to the Father except through me!"
~ Jesus the Saviour  (John 14:6)

Read the book of John in the Holy Bible to hear
John's version of this amazing man's life.
The man named Jesus.

Happy Easter Everyone!

Lots of love, Mumzy

warming up

Hello, hello!
The last post I did was about how terribly cold it was, but take heart!

The weather is warming up and the crocuses are showing their heads to declare that spring is in fact on its way!

Also Papa Bear is home!

It is just a good time all-round. I hope and pray that you are all having a great day. One that is as good as mine.

Thanks and GOD Bless!!!!!

Loving Letters

This morning we received some more letters and drawings from our beautiful children to be!

Dear (Wiggles),

I cannot wait to see you and I miss you. I was surprised about what you wrote to me and I really really enjoyed that.

Lots of love,

(name) and (name) and (name) and (name)

Kiwi Boy also received one addressed to him.

Dear brother,

I miss you, and (Wiggles), and (Jelly Beans), and Mom and Dad.

Lots of love,

(name)

And one for all of us!

Hello Mom, Dad, Brother and Sisters,

I am so excited to get your letters. My football trainings take place 3 times a week. Next week I will not need to go to school as we are having spring Easter Holidays I am really looking forward to it. We are having a real spring over here - the trees are bursting into leaf, and the flowers are blooming. I enjoy a lot the room that you are preparing for me.
The orphanage that we live in has a website. You may take a look at how we live         (web address)
There you may find some pictures of us. Can you recognize us?

All of us are eagerly waiting to meet you.

With love,
(name)

It is wonderful to receive these letters. It helps us to understand how much the children must look forward to receiving our letters, knowing that there is someone in the world wanting to be their family.

We still don't have a court date, and if you could pray for the children's package we sent them that would be awesome! It is slowly going through customs in Lithuania.

Thanks!!!!

Thinking and prayer

I have been thinking about how my siblings are going to feel about being adopted.

I think this video really sums it up. While they are not from China my siblings still won't truly understand what adoption will mean to them. They may be scared or excited but still in a way unaware of what's truly going on.

I ask you to pray for my four beautiful siblings that God will prepare their hearts and give them a peace about the whole transition. That He will be with them as they learn to live in our family.

Thank you and God Bless,

Jelly Beans

Missions Conference!!!!

Last weekend my sister and I went to a missions conference in the city. It was tons of fun and we saw good friends there.

Wiggles and I brought some cool stuff, I got a bible in Mandarin and a book written by a Kiwi guy about all the people groups in China (so cool!).

The best by far though was a little new testament that we found. The amazingly blessed thing about this new testament was that it was written in .....

wait for it.......

LITHUANIAN!!!!

It's so cool and I know it is going to mean so much to my siblings; unfortunately there was only one :(

The new testament wasn't the only thing that God did this weekend. He brought me to a really nice lady who works with OMF (used to be the China Inland Mission founded by Hudson Taylor).

He also placed me in one of the seminar classes that I wasn't really intending to go to. It was about Muslims in China.

I was planning on going into the class next to it on medical missions but obviously God wanted me in the class I ended up going to. It definitely confirmed some things that I had been thinking about.

It would have been so easy not to, the door was locked and you couldn't go in until the session started unlike the other class. I am truly thankful to God for guiding me to the right place.

It's COLD!

Papa Bear left for New Zealand last weekend, leaving a cold blast in his wake! The weather around here is freezing!

I mean literally everything is frozen together!

But we are still having a good day because 'this is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it!'

The ice is making the world look so very pretty.

I love the winter and its white beauty but I must admit that I am looking forward to the warm summer.

Jelly Beans asked me to put this on the blog so even though it has nothing to do with the cold winter please enjoy this video.

Thanks and GOD Bless!!!
