Day 7

Today we went for a long walk at took in some of the historical sites of the city.

Some of us climbed to the top of the bell tower
at the Cathedral of SS Stanislaus and Ladislaus.

The children were very tired by the end of it all and went straight to sleep at bed time, finally!

The Higher Castle has cool knight displays!

It was cool to have Kiwi Boy take most of the photos. It gave Papa Bear and I the ability to hold onto small children.

Papa Bear is my Knight in Shining Armour,
this guy is just a pile of tin in comparison!

To indicate just how small they are we went into one museum and they thought the children were all under school age! Children start their schooling years at 7 in Lithuania. For those who don't know the children are 10, 9, 8, and 5 years old.

The Hill of Three Crosses.

Where we walked was extremely busy with sightseers, buskers, and those out for a sunny afternoon stroll.

A view of the city form the top of the Castle Tower.

Enjoy Kiwi Boy's photos!

An opposite view of the city from the path going up to the Castle Tower.
