Day 2

We Have The Children!

We drove to the children's Care Home/orphanage today and after about thirty minutes of talking to, or rather not understanding, the director we went to meet our beautiful children.

Kiwi Boy eyeing up all the LEGO he could ever want.

Fifteen minutes later we drove out of the orphanage grounds with our children. Within 30 minutes we found out they had no idea what a seat belt was or why they had to keep it on.

After three hours, an opened door, and a toilet stop we finally made it back to the apartment... safely... Praise God!

Papa Bear on the landing outside our apartment door.

Tonight they wondered why we held hands and bowed our heads before we ate supper, had a bath, washed their hair, ate the equivalent of another supper, and climbed into bed just to get right back out again...  About 50 billion times!

On the way to the orphanage.

Finally Papa Bear sang his favourite lullaby... only they thought it was time for a sing-a-long!!! At the top of their voices!!!

By 10:30 I finally got the last one... notably the youngest one... to go to sleep. We had started this whole process around 8pm.

They are constantly asking for hugs and every one of them asked for a kiss good bye, (good night), English is not their strongest asset.

On the way back from the orphanage.

I must follow them and get to bed, who only knows what time they will be up in the morning!
