Day 18

I am busy trying to pack and not getting very far very fast!

We took the children to the local market for last minute souvenirs.

Papa Bear and Kiwi Boy took a taxi to the big mall to pick up two new suitcases.

I didn't take any photos today so I have added some photos of the children bonding with Papa Bear during their first days with us.

Day 17

The medical tests are all done. The paperwork is all filed.
Return air tickets have been purchased.

They were all excited when they found out Lays Chips were in Canada too!

We must be nearly all done!

Clothes need washing. Bags need packing.
Children need loving.

We will be home on the weekend!

The children had been told that Papa Bear had to go away
on a bus for two nights.
Then they had to have their blood tests done.
After all that was completed they would fly to Canada.

A game of cards is Kiwi Boy's and Papa Bear's nightly ritual.

So they waited for Papa Bear to come back.
Braved their way through blood tests.
And as soon as we returned to the apartment after the Doctor
they packed their bags for the flight to Canada!

It was hard to tell them they still had 3 sleeps to go.
We all just want to come home!

Day 16

We have survived the day!

This afternoon they decided to play dress-up!

The Children are Asleep!

Actually they worked hard on trying to be good all day. Bedtime was once again difficult but eventually they all fell asleep. They are so sweet when they are all sleeping!

Papa Bear has achieved his mission in Warsaw and will be back on his way to Lithuania in an hour or two!

Tomorrow morning we take the children for their blood tests etc for immigration.
The results/need for further testing will be sorted by the end of Wednesday.
And we will be on our way home very early Friday morning!

One bit lip and a few bumps and bruises later!

                                         God is good!!!

Day 15

Papa Bear has left for Poland on his mission to obtaining Immigration Medical Forms from the Canadian Embassy.

I promise I have NOT killed the kids... yet

Once Papa Bear gets back we will be able to book our flights home as we will have a known timeframe to work on. The ONLY thing that would be left to achieve is the completion of the Children's medicals.

The light at the end of the tunnel is beginning to shine!

Day 14

This morning we were awoken to breakfast in bed. We were given a cup of tea (made from the hot water tap) and a plain rice cake.

The girls had also made Kiwi Boy, The Warrior, and Buttons, Nutella  sandwiches, along with sliced bananas, Juice, and Coke.

A very sweet gesture!

I am also constantly amazed at their ability on computers and the iPad. There appears to be no deprived children in this high tech world!

Day 13

Eating Pizza American style.

We have our Children's new Birth Certificates and Passports!

It is very cool to see their full names on official documents.

Going for the dramatic effect!

We also did the first part of the girls medical exam today. That just leaves the blood and urine tests to be completed for all the Children when Papa Bear returns from Poland next week.

Papa Bear trying the European look.

Tonight we had Pizza for supper. The first night we ate Pizza the Children were shocked when Kiwi Boy picked his whole slice up and ate it with his fingers. But it didn't take long, about 3 seconds, for Treasure to give the new style a go!

A white cheese sauce is added as an extra topping.

Please pray for Papa Bear as he travels to the Canadian Embassy in Warsaw, Poland on Sunday evening. We have paperwork we still need to fill out that he needs to take with him.

"More please" are their favourite English words!

Please pray that the Immigration Officer is happy with all the documents and provides Papa Bear with the last of the medical forms on Monday so he can return quickly to Lithuania.

Please pray also for Kiwi Boy and I as we care for the Children here in Lithuania.

The two handed option.

Thank you so much for all of your prayers and encouragement. They mean sanity and survival to us!

Day 12

Today we had the Children's Passports photos taken. Papa Bear will be picking them up tomorrow at lunch time. Then we will be another step closer to coming home!

Buttons also got his stitches out! Now other children won't stare at him on the playground. It looks like it has healed well.

We went for another walk today and visited an awesome church. The girls wanted me to take photos of them praying inside. It is all play acting with them at the moment but I pray that one day they will all know Jesus Christ as their personal Redeemer.

Day 11

Today we took the children to Trakai Castle. It is located on an island, accessible only by a foot bridge, on Lake Galve.

The children are always up to mischief!

The children thought it was really cool to climb and explore at full speed. Kiwi Boy on the other hand wanted to search out every nook and cranny and savior every step!

The castle was damaged in WWII and restored with a red-orange brick instead of stone, yet it is still spectacular!

Today our Lawyer also managed to get the children's new birth certificates! Tomorrow we take them for their passports. These will be available for pick up on Friday sometime.

Papa Bear is also meeting with the Doctor tomorrow to begin the Medicals for Immigration.

All looks like we will be able to begin our journey home late next week!

Day 10

It is official!!!

The children are ours!!!

They are coming home!!!

I am pleased to introduce;

The Warrior,

Princess,

Treasure,

and Buttons.

Thank you for all of your prayers!

Today we went for a walk to a nearby mall to get the children's photos taken for Canadian Immigration. All went well until it was time to walk back to the apartment.

Taken just before leaving the Children's Home on the first day.

About to exit the building there was a flash of lightning along with torrential rain. We waited for a few minutes until the rain slowed down and then started on our journey home. 15 minutes later, soaking wet from head to toe, our brave little soldiers stepped into the apartment building.

I am ever so grateful that they are not scared of thunder and lightning!

Back at the apartment, day 1.

Tomorrow our Lawyer is traveling to the children's "home town" to collect their new birth certificates.

Then on Thursday we start the process for their passports.

Court day.

Hopefully on Sunday Papa Bear will travel to Poland to arrive for the opening of the Canadian Embassy on Monday.

Once he finally gets back the last of the Children's medicals can be completed and we can start the journey back to Canada!

Thank you so much for all of your prayers!!!
