THANK YOU!!!

This family is certainly on an adventure.

The Nightshade berries that the girls ate are sweet, pretty, and an easy pick. Much like the fruit in the Garden of Eden.

But they come with a price!

Just like the fruit in the Garden they cause death and need to be counter acted with a sacrifice.

In the girls case it was lots of prayer and a cup full of charcoal drink.

Princess gulped hers down like it was a can of cola and her relief was pretty quick.

Treasure on the other hand didn't want to accept the needed sacrifice. She gagged, and spat up, and outright refused. So it took more prayer and a harsher  penalty of pain and time for her to recover.

Both girls vomited within two hours of ingesting the berries. Had tummy cramps and began to get sleepy. The sleepiness was a concern because they could slip into a coma.

After six hours at the hospital they were released but they are still suffering the effects of the berries with tummy cramps and digestive pain from top to bottom.

Although the ripe red fruit is still toxic it is the unripe green berry that is more dangerous. Both girls couldn't resist trying both colours of this seemingly free gift of food.

THANK YOU for all of your prayers!!!

Backpacks!

Do you remember the backpacks Wiggles worked so hard on for her new siblings?

We sent them to the children while they were still living in the orphanage in Lithuania. Unfortunately the parcel was held up in customs because we didn't address the box to an actual person but to the Lawyer's office.

Last week the parcel was sent "Return To Sender." We actually received it at our postal box 10 days after it left Lithuania! We thought we would never see it again!!!

Checking out the Lithuanian address!

Thank you, God, for answering our prayers about the safety of the bags and that the children would eventually receive them!

Power

In yet another Summer Storm we saw the power of the wind.

A Post-tropical Storm that ended up consisting of 139 km an hour winds whipped through our region just over a week ago.

First the winds blew from one direction snapping branches and felling trees. Then we had the quiet of the storm's eye giving us a chance to survey some of the damage.

Then the second half of the storm hit. This time the winds were coming from the opposite direction. Trees that had lost half their branches one way now lost the other half the other way. Leaving the tree split down the middle.

Our trampoline that was donated to the kids to celebrate their homecoming first went one way into the neighbours field and then ended up at the other end of the field by the time the storm was finally over.

Thankfully we were only without electricity for 2 days. Many others in our region were out for almost a week.

Thank you God for protecting us and giving us such wonderful friends who gave us a place (with a flushing toilet), to hangout at while we waited for the electricity to be reconnected!

Summer Storms

My kids start getting happy when just a few rain drops begin to fall.

They get super excited when a thunder and lightning storm comes with lots of rain.

See at our house we have a rule;
crafts are only for rainy days.

They especially enjoy it when the rain comes down in the right direction for them to be able to do their craft outside under the wide veranda.

Out come the pencils and creative juices start to flow.

All thunder and lightning is forgotten in the familiar comfort of stickers, glue, and coloured paper.

The Days, and Months, Just Keep Moving On!

Can you believe that Grace of God is now over six months old!

After starting life weighing under 4lbs
she now weighs a massive 13lbs.
And she has the most gorgeous little smile
that lights up her whole face!

My kids just love to give her cuddles,
but for some reason her family
never lets her travel too far out of their sight.
I think they adore her too!

May God continue to bless you Grace of God!!!
